So its been another busy year, 2012! Bring on 2013.. not long to go but between then and now there have been lots of exciting eating, experiences and christmas goings on.. here’s a picturesque post of some of the places I’ve eaten in London & food I’ve made.. be warned hunger will prevail very quickly after seeing these pics!

The Ship-Wandworth ( Pub Grub, Cosy & Full on Feast)

picture4Burger.. Fat & Juicy

picture3Battered fish, crispy batter, full slab of flaky white fish, tartare sauce, peas and hand cut chips.. tasty & yes greasy a little but its all gooood grease

picture2Foi Gras, Chutney and Brioche.. addictive stuff, flavourful, comforting & buttery

A Jamie Oliver 15 Minute Meal- Meatballs, chickpeas & harissa yoghurtpicture1

A Visit to Meat Liquor finally.. based near Bond Street I recommend a visit if Dirty Burgers are your thing, with a few mates, spruced up cocktails or beers and hands on food (no cutlery needed) just a kitchen roll!

A dark, red, dingy feel to this place works so well, you don’t feel in the midst of London or if you do some seedy side, but behind closed doors a packed restaurant is filled with groups chowing on down to some satisfying grease, from burgers, chicken wings with blue cheese with the fluffiest onion rings to thin cut chips.

picture 19 picture 18Bar Tozino-In Maltby Street for some fizz, wine, jamon, cheese and more tapaps style...

picture12 picture11 picture9 picture8December Street Food- From The Bowler Beef Chuck Meatballs, with coleslaw & rice at the Taste of Christmas Fair to spicy lamb wraps from Community Kitchen at Real Food Festival in Southbank

picture5picture31La Tartfilette at Real Food Festival- Creamy potatoes in wine, sausage, cream with Roublechon cheese.. proper comfort food on a winter’s day

picture34Outsider Tart- Naughty cheesecake brownies and peanut butter salted caramel slice.. with chocolate peanuts. Amazing, sugar filled wickedness!

Jamie Oliver Christmas Market in Old Street

A road full of stalls serving up street food that’s hot on the trot on London’s Streets at the moment, from Ribman, Green Goat (their Cornish whiting with salsa verde was amazing!), Meringue Girls, Luardo’s , Poppy’s Kitchen and Violet Cakes are a few to mention…

picture30picture 23 picture 22Sabrina’s Persian Supperclub- A popular Persian/Arabesque feast or supperclub from this lovely lady absolutely knocks you out.. ever generous with portions and the quality of the food is glorious. picyure 29picture 30The Aubergine Whey was my favourite.

Adulis- Eritrean Restaurant, Clapham Seeking something out of the ordinary? I always am! This eritrean restaurant taught me a lesson or two about cuisine from this region, especially a spectacular dish here using injera (pancakes), slightly lemony and tangy to scoop up the varieties of dishes to sample.picture 32

Thinkers Balcony Supperclub- A one-off Mayan “End of the World” Chocolate Feast with handmade intricate chocolates using no dairy, no sugar, with flavours such as lavender & cinnamon, salted thyme, palmerosa, hazelnut praline, mint and more.. With a taste of ” Bitter Water” Mayan Cocoa in traditional form, with accentuated hints of bitterness, depth of chilli and spicesthinkers balcony

Everyman Cinema- Hot Chocolate with these cute straws, milky and warm right before a film in the Old Vic Tunnels, serving up homemade pizza’s and snacks..picture36

So what’s everyone eating over Christmas?

This year its a family effort to make all the Christmas dinner together from the turkey, butternut and ricotta pie, veggies, roast potatoes, copious amounts of stuffing, Paul a Young’s recipe for Mulled Hot Chocolate Wine, Amaretto & Almond Milk Hot Chocolates and more…!

I have made some of my Christmas presents this year, from mini fruit cakes, goat’s cheese truffles, cookies and ginger wafers! Pictures will popicture 3p up after Christmas or on my Twitter!IMG_1981 (2)

We may also be making a delicious Beef Wellington next week post Xmas..
